ABOUT HÄRJEDALEN
Härjedalen is the only
county in Sweden without a city.
Härjedalen as a
county has the smallest population of counties in Sweden, but to surface
it is the 12th largest.
The landscape is
on high altitude, more than 80% of the county is situated on over 600
meters above sea level.
Härjedalen was
Norwegian until 1645 when it became Swedish, and that is the reason that
the dialect sounds a bit like Norwegian.
